Julia Williams
Julia graduated in 2003 from UCT cum laude with a BSc Med (Hons) degree in Biokinetics. Here she was able to work with some of the leading professionals in the industry and gained great experience working at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa under the guidance of Prof. Tim Noakes.
She went on to complete her internship working for Jannie Klingbiel Biokinetics at the Centre for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in Rosebank. Julia specialised in orthopaedic work, and worked with some of the country’s top professional sportsmen and women.
Julia has been practicing Biokinetics now for the past 13 years focusing primarily on orthopaedic rehabilitation and concussion education, as well as injury prevention in sportsmen and women, both young and old. She strongly believes in an individualised and comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, making certain that all aspects of a patient’s condition are examined and treated allowing them to return to pre-injury activities with confidence.
Julia is a key link to schools participating in the sports concussion programme, arranging baseline testing and education programmes.
