Endorsement Of The Pharos Sports Concussion Programme
The South African Rugby Union has been utilizing the Cogsport Concussion Management System as incorporated in The Pharos Sports Concussion Programme for the last 3 years.
Drs Ryan Kohler and Jon Patricios have been instrumental in establishing and implementing the concussion protocols at national, Super 12 and provincial levels and I am delighted that the opportunity is being extended to school children to help prevent the potentially serious sequelae of head injuries in sport.
As Medical Manager I fully endorse the protocol and encourage all schools and parents to enrol their children.
